Overview

Cowan Elementary School, located in South Austin, opened in 1999 and serves approximately 600 students in Pre-K through fifth grade, including tuition-supported Pre-K for qualified families. The school is named after longtime educator Dennis E. Cowan, and nurtures and inspires children to achieve their personal best every day. Teachers and administrators are always open to meeting with families to address student needs. Cowan has an active PTA and offers convenient opportunities for families to be involved in their child's education.


La Escuela Primaria Cowan, ubicada en el sur de Austin, abrió en 1999 y sirve a aproximadamente 600 estudiantes de prekínder a quinto grado, incluyendo ayuda para pagar la matrícula de prekínder para las familias que cumplen con los requisitos. La escuela lleva el nombre de Dennis E. Cowan, quien fue educador por mucho tiempo, y educa e inspira a los niños a lograr su mejor desempeño personal todos los días.
