Disparity Study

2022 Disparity Study

The Austin Independent School District conducted a Disparity Study of its Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) program in partnership with Colette Holt and Associates to ensure that minority and women-owned businesses have equal access to contracting opportunities and that the District’s current program remains legally defensible and administratively successful. The study examined the policies, procedures, and participation trends of MBE, WBE, and HUB firms in contracting and procurement activities over the last five fiscal years. The study reviewed purchasing practices in areas such as construction and consulting services.
