Leaders in the Making

JROTC, the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, is co-sponsored by Austin ISD and the U.S. Air Force and Navy. JROTC provides students the opportunity to become informed and responsible citizens, develop leadership and self-discipline skills and become involved in their school and community. There is no military obligation associated with or incurred by participating in the program.

JROTC operates at both the high school and middle school levels at AISD. JROTC courses can also be used to meet the four semesters of physical education required for graduation from high school.
