‘Pride Out! Party in the Park’ event takes place this weekend as part of Austin ISD Pride Week

Austin ISD is proudly hosting their ‘Pride Out! Party in the Park’ event this Saturday, March 26 with live music, a drag show, and activities for all ages.

Every year, to celebrate LGBTQIA+ students, staff and families of Austin ISD use this week as a time to highlight the district's commitment to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. The week is full of themed, educational, and inspiring topics such as Pride history and creative expression. Pride swag is available to students and staff throughout the week. Austin ISD’s Pride Week and Party in the Park are an integral part of the district’s "No Place for Hate" campaign, demonstrating to thousands of young people that the district is a welcoming place.

The event is generously supported by Austin Oaks Hospital, Nest Foundation, aGLIFF, League at AT&T, Mindpop/Creative Learning Initiative, PFLAG and Austin Ed Fund, Austin ISD's nonprofit public education foundation.

What: ‘Pride Out! Party in the Park’ is for the entire community where families and supporters can connect with each other, find valuable resources, and build a support system. Admission is free.

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 26
