The Lead with Love for our Community and Education will honor the anniversary of the 2013 Halloween flood in Dove Springs, which affected Austin ISD students and community members. 

Speakers will focus on their experiences of the Dove Springs flood and Senate Bill 43, which focused on mortgage fraud that was unveiled as a result of the flood.

Elizalde; former Perez Elementary School Principal David Kaufman; current Perez Elementary School Principal Kara Mitchell-Santibanez; Austin City Councilmember Vanessa Fuentes; Molly Rogers of Texas RioGrande Legal Aid Inc.; Sen. Judith Zaffirini; U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett; and Nate Walker, former chief of staff to State Rep. Eddie Rodriguez.
