The Austin ISD middle school theatre students are directors are embracing technology and transitioned their participation in the annual UIL Middle School One-Act Play competition into a virtual theatre festival. 

The event, “Forward/Adelante,” will air Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. on the Austin ISD Visual and Performing Arts Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. 

The virtual festival will include performances from AISD middle school theatre programs across the district, featuring 5-10 minute documentaries, radio plays, monologues, variety shows, and original work. 

The event is free and open to the public.
