Austin ISD is seeking suggestions for naming the new Blazier Relief School, which will open in August to provide relief to Blazier Elementary School. 

The New Blazier Relief School was approved as part of the 2017 Bond program. Blazier Elementary School will transition into a primary campus, housing kindergarten through second grade; and the new relief school will serve the intermediate level accommodating third through sixth grade. This is a unique arrangement in Austin ISD with a strong partnership between the two campuses. 

Name submissions will be accepted via online form  through Friday, June 5. Names will be vetted to align with the criteria outlined in board policy. The Campus Advisory Council - comprised of school personnel, parents and community members - will consider all eligible submissions and make a recommendation to the AISD Board of Trustees, who will make the final decision.

The next meeting of the School Naming Committee will be on Tuesday, June 9, at 4 p.m. via Zoom.  Naming meetings are open to the public, and details about future meetings and joining via Zoom can be found on the school website.
