Dyslexia A to Z: Annual Central Texas Dyslexia Conference Provides Support to Educators, Families

The annual Central Texas Dyslexia Conference will provide support to educators and families throughout the state Oct. 18. The event is held each October in observance of Dyslexia Awareness Month.

The event brings together families, educators, advocates, tutors, administrators and community leaders to learn how to best support the academic and emotional needs of students with dyslexia.

Austin ISD has been organizing the conference since 2015 and provides dyslexia training and evaluations year-round for AISD students. This support includes training reading specialists to be certified academic language therapists and working toward a goal of staffing every elementary school campus with an CALT.

Free registration for the event is still open on the Central Texas Dyslexia Conference Eventbrite page.
