To ensure the safety of all students and staff, all Austin ISD classes are canceled tomorrow, Dec. 8.

The National Weather Service predicts that freezing temperatures will remain in the area through 9 a.m. There is also the expectation of the formation of black ice on some roads tonight and during the morning commute.

Because of this, a two-hour delay would not be enough time to safely transport students tomorrow morning. 

We will continue to monitor the weather and receive updates from the National Weather Service.
