Brooke Elementary School, in partnership with the Travis County Master Gardener Association will host a Sustainable Garden Symposium as part of the school's committment to becoming a green technology school. 

The Sustainable Garden Symposium invites community members to learn more about sustainable initatives, including growing vegetables, backyard chickens, preserving and vegetable fermenting, backyard bees and companion planting. The symposium will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 at Brooke, 3100 E. 4th St. Tickets to the event are $25 and includes lunch.
