MEDIA ADVISORY Austin Ed Fund to award more than $75,000 in Innovation Grants to Austin ISD Teachers

Austin Ed Fund, the public education foundation that supports excellence and innovation in AISD, will award more than $75,000 in Innovation Grants to local teachers this spring to support their most creative project ideas in literacy, science, technology, engineering and math.  

 

Teachers were encouraged to apply for up to $10,000 in grant funding with 17 projects at 22 campuses selected for funding during the 2017-18 school year. Since the program’s inception in fall 2015, Austin Ed Fund has awarded $200,000 in Innovation Grants to AISD teachers.

 

Teachers are notified that their grant was approved during surprise celebration visits.

9 a.m. Meet in front office of Wooldridge Elementary,1412 Norseman Terrace

9:45 a.m. Meet in front office of Graham Elementary, 11211 Tom Adams Drive
