New facility will give high school students expanded opportunities in STEM
Austin ISD is celebrating the grand opening of the new Applied Technology Center at Anderson High School with a ribbon cutting and breakfast from the Nacho Average Food Truck.
This joint project between Austin ISD, the Boys Scouts of America and a community donor will benefit students throughout the district.

Where: Anderson High School, 8403 Mesa Drive
The site is on the northeast side of Anderson High School by the school theater. Enter the north parking lot off Cima Serena Drive and head east toward the theater. There will be reserved parking.
Background: This new 14,500-square-foot facility will provide increased educational opportunities for AISD students in North Austin by placing a high-tech STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and computer science building with new classroom and work space in the area. This facility will complement the existing Applied Technology facility at Akins High School in South Austin.
