This weekend, Travis High School will honor veterans by dedicating a monument at the school.

Who: Travis High School Principal Ty Davidson, Austin Mayor Steve Adler and former Austin Mayor, Travis High School alumnus and veteran Lee Leffingwell will give remarks.

What: A Veteran’s Memorial Ceremony, dedicating a monument in honor of veterans who attended or graduated from Travis High School.

When: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30

Where: Travis High School, 1211 E. Oltorf St.

Travis High School has improved graduation rates for the past three years. More than 80 percent of teachers are rated effective or better on the Pilot Appraisal System ratings of accountability.
