The Vision + Voice Poetry Contest began in 2014 to provide AISD students an opportunity to engage in creative writing. The poetry competition is for students in grades K-12. Poems in any language were accepted.

All submitted poems are published online via Voiceprint, the AISD digital press. One winning poem was selected per grade level by a panel of published poets. Winning poems are combined with artwork created by an ACC student and made into posters for display around AISD and the city of Austin.

A celebration reception for Vision + Voice participants and supporters will be held later in the year.
