Help Grow AISD's Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee

Members to advise green efforts accepting applications through May 8

The Austin ISD Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee is looking for new members to help advise the district in being a recognized example of environmental education, stewardship and sustainability.

The ESAC serves as an advisory body to the superintendent, who is responsible for administrative decisions and for providing administrative and policy recommendations to the board for approval.

ESAC is seeking new members, including two to three new co-chairs, to serve from June 2015 through May 2017. AISD students, staff, parents and community members may apply.

If you are interested in serving on the ESAC, please review the ESAC Bylaws, in particular Article IV: Membership, to confirm eligibility.

To apply to become a new ESAC member, complete the District Advisory Bodies Standard Application Form and email jennifer.cregar@austinisd.org with a short statement on why you are well-suited to serve.

To nominate yourself or another person to be an ESAC co-chair, complete the ESAC Co-chair Nomination Form.

Newly selected ESAC members will be notified in June. Approved co-chair nominees will present to the current ESAC members at the May 20 ESAC meeting, where new co-chairs will be elected.

Membership applications and co-chair nominations are due by Friday, May 8.

Find out more about the ESAC and view the current ESAC membership list.
