Allison Elementary School invites the community to learn about science, technology, engineering and math programs at its STEMulate Your Mind family event this Friday.  

What: As part of Allison's focus on its STEM signature program, Allison Elementary School's staff members and community partners have planned this event to showcase the science and mathematics curriculum for schools in a fun atmosphere. 

The event features robotics presentations from Allison, Martin Middle School and Eastside Memorial High School. The event will feature demonstrations by the Austin Police Department's forensic team and bomb squad. Companies such as Intel, AMD and Freescale, as well as many other community partners, have technology activities planned.

There will also be free food, refreshments and science-based prizes.   

When: 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13
