AUSTIN, Texas—AISD continues to monitor the weather with the City of Austin and area school districts as heavy rains are expected during the morning commute tomorrow.

At this time, the district does not anticipate the weather will affect operations Tuesday. The district plans for all schools and offices to operate as scheduled.

Due to expected rain, there may be delays to school arrival times tomorrow. AISD asks parents to please add extra time to their commutes tomorrow morning. The district also reminds Austin drivers to stop for school buses whose lights are flashing.

If families have questions about school bus routes, please call AISD’s transportation department between 7:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. at 512-414-0238. Families also may call dispatchers at AISD's bus terminals for information about the routes for their respective schools after 4:30 a.m.:

• Nelson Bus Terminal in Northeast Austin: 512-414-6520;
• Saegert Bus Terminal in Southwest Austin: 512-414-6500; and
• Southeast Bus Terminal: 512-414-8510.

AISD will provide updates through the district’s website, social media channels and e-mail and telephone notifications and through local media if there are any changes to the schools' normal schedules tomorrow.
