AUSTIN—Kindergarten Round-up is being offered Tuesday, May 6, at all elementary schools in the Austin Independent School District. 

At Kindergarten Round-up, parents will receive information about the AISD’s full-day kindergarten program including curriculum, daily schedules, attendance requirements, school year calendar, how to help a child prepare for school, and information specific to the individual campus.

Parents should bring:

• The child’s official birth certificate;
• Current immunization records;
• Proof of parent’s residence in AISD, such as a current utility bill or lease agreement;
• And a parent/guardian photo identification.

Children who will be five years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible to be enrolled in AISD kindergarten. Parents who do not know which school their child will attend may call 512-414-1726, or visit http://www.austinisd.org/schools/sara.

Classes for the 2014-15 school year begin Monday, Aug. 25.
