AISD's first middle school winter guard, Lamar Winterguard, placed first in the Cadet class at the 2014 Texas Color Guard Circuit Competition held March 22 at Hendrickson High School. 

Congratulations to Maribel A., Chloe A., Kasey B., Sarah C., Mariko D., Madeline E., Anneli F., Diane G., Mya J., Sara L., Ciara M., Connie P., Kalei S., Leeloo W. and Chloe Y.  and directors James Hairston, Natalie Reed and Javier Ayala. 

This is Lamar Winterguard's second year competing at the championships. Last year they won Silver!

Winter guard is similar to color guard in high school band, however they perform indoors and to recorded music.
