Media Advisory: FARMERS INSURANCE HONORS THOSE WHO MAKE US SMARTER WITH MIDWEST LAUNCH OF ‘THANK A MILLION TEACHERS’ PROGRAM

This press release is being distributed by AISD on behalf of Farmers Insurance.

WHAT:           Farmers Insurance is honoring those who make us smarter with the “Thank A Million Teachers” national program which invites America to express appreciation to the nation’s teachers.  Farmers understands the foundational role teachers play in our communities and wants to recognize educators for the difference they make in the lives of children and communities.

Anyone can thank a teacher by going to the ThankAMillionTeachers.com web site.  Upon being thanked, teachers are invited to submit a proposal for their chance to win a grant of up to $2,500 towards their national board certification or for school supplies in their classroom.

Farmers recently launched the “Thank A Million Teachers” program in Los Angeles with Actor/Comedian Jack Black offering his thanks to his former teacher.  The national insurer further highlighted its commitment to educators with its 2014 Rose Parade float, Thank A Million Teachers, which featured teachers and students participating in the New Year’s Day parade.
