AUSTIN, Texas--Austin ISD's schools and buses will operate as scheduled today. Due to the rain, there may be delays in bus pick-up and school arrival times.

AISD asks parents to please add extra time to their commutes this morning and to expect traffic delays. The district also reminds Austin drivers to stop for school buses whose lights are flashing.

AISD continues to excuse late arrivals and absences for students and staff members due to weather or circumstances related to the recent flooding. For more information, parents may speak to their child's school.

The City of Austin recommends families review road closures to plan their commute before leaving the house. Information is available at atxfloods.com.

Parents interested in specific AISD bus route information may call AISD’s transportation department between 7:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. at 512-414-0238.

Families also may call dispatchers at AISD's bus terminals for information about the routes for their respective schools after 4:30 a.m.:

• Nelson Bus Terminal in Northeast Austin: 512-414-6520.
• Saegert Bus Terminal in Southwest Austin: 512-414-6500 and
• Southeast Bus Terminal: 512-414-8510.
