AISD Offers Free Lunch to Children During Summer Months

AUSTIN, Texas--During the summer months, the Austin Independent School District will serve free breakfast and lunch to local children through the Summer Food Service Program.  

 

The program is federally funded, and any child between the ages of 1-18 can received a free breakfast and lunch, regardless of economic status and whether or not the child attends AISD. Federal regulations require that schools where the program is offered have at least 50 percent of students during the regular school year that qualify for free or reduced-priced meals.   

 

Free lunch will be available at more than 30 locations. 

  

Participating sites, program dates and meal service times are subject to change.
