More than 500 volunteer at AISD schools
AUSTIN, TX—Volunteers from 23 companies will meet at Brooke and Linder elementary schools to offer some much-needed love and care to schools’ grounds and facilities at Spring Service Day as part of an initiative by the Entrepreneurs Foundation.
Who: Entrepreneurs Foundation CEO Eugene Sepulveda, Blackbaud Senior Vice President of Products and Marketing Jana Eggers; and more than 565 team members from participating companies, including: Austin Ventures, Bazaarvoice, BestFit Mobile, Blackbaud, BuildASign, Comerica Bank, CreditCards.com, Enspire Learning, Gazzang, InReach, Invodo, Jones-Dilworth, mindSHIFT Technologies, NVIDIA, RetailMeNot, SailPoint Technologies, Socialware, Thinkwell, Troux Technologies, uShip, Virtual Bridges, vcfo, Entrepreneurs Foundation and ACTIVE Life
What: Volunteers will undertake mulching, building a running track, pruning bushes, creating gardens and painting to improve campus grounds.
When: 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, May 17
Where: Brooke Elementary School, 3100 E. 4th St., and Linder Elementary School, 2800 Metcalfe Road
Background: The event is sponsored by Blackbaud, an Entrepreneurs Foundation member company. Since 2004 the Entrepreneurs Foundation has been holding service days that benefit a local elementary, nonprofit organization or municipality. The service days bring together member companies and their team members by volunteering in the community.
