Austin, Texas—Austin ISD invites families and community members to learn about potential academic scenarios, including a focus on college and career preparedness in a culture that develops leadership and civic engagement in a single-sex educational setting, for Garcia and Pearce middle schools Saturday, Nov. 17.

What: A brief presentation and community-focused activity to address future academic programming options for Garcia and Pearce middle schools.

When: 10-11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17

Where: Pearce Middle School cafeteria, 6401 N. Hampton Dr.

Background: The program design for Garcia and Pearce middle schools is a preliminary, potential Annual Academic and Facilities Recommendation, which is under consideration for potential action at the Board of Trustees meeting Dec. 17.

Child care, interpretation services and light refreshments will be provided.
