Austin, TX—Today, five teachers in the Austin Independent School District received a surprise visit from their school principals and OfficeMax representatives who awarded them $1,000 in classroom supplies. The teachers are among 1,000 educators nationally who were nominated by their principals for OfficeMax's A Day Made Better program, which honors teachers for their extraordinary efforts in the classroom.

When: Tuesday, Oct. 2.  

Where: Allison, Blackshear, Jordan and Sunset Valley elementary schools and Fulmore Middle School.
