Austin, TX–Tomorrow, students at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders will embark on school-sponsored visits to college campuses across Central Texas--the first large-scale, college field trip in the school's history.

Background: The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders arranges opportunities for students to visit 20 college campuses before they graduate. As part of the school's annual College Week festivities, students will visit Baylor University, Sam Houston State University, St. Mary's University, Texas A&M University, Texas Lutheran University, Texas State University and the University of Texas at Austin.
The school's college visits support AISD's commitment to ensure students are prepared for college, career and life. The district also provides students with resources and assistance with applying for financial aid and encourages participation in the national ACT and SAT exams.
