Inclusive Schools Week and Special Education Staff Appreciation Week provide campuses with the opportunity to initiate practices to further ensure schools continue to improve their goal of successfully educating and including ALL children while celebrating the integral role of our special education service providers (case managers, TAs, SLPs, Related Services).
Teachers, principals and staff can encourage more inclusive classrooms by fostering a supportive and adaptive learning environment. One of the ways we can promote inclusion and teach acceptance is by incorporating children’s books about disabilities into classroom read-alouds, book studies, and campus and classroom libraries.
This year’s Inclusive School Week theme is Every Voice Counts! Please visit inclusiveschools.org to download the free Celebration Guide, Media Kit, Digital Graphics, Celebration Activities, and more.
