Location: Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders
Austin ISD will celebrate 80 parents who completed the Maestro en Casa program, a basic English course for families of our students. From October to April every year, participants take classes at their students' schools.
Classes are free and taught by Austin ISD parent support specialists or volunteer instructors. At the end of the program, Maestro en Casa participants take part in a graduation ceremony and receive their certificate, with the satisfaction of having stronger communication tools and, for many, with the motivation to continue their studies.
