The AISD Afterschool Showcase will be 9 a.m.–noon on Saturday, April 26, at Kealing Middle School, 1607 Pennsylvania Ave. The event will allow AISD after-school students to showcase their talents.

The vision of AISD Afterschool is to make a positive difference in the livese of students through learning, thriving, connecting, serving and leading. The goals of AISD Afterschool are to:

• Increase academic achievement and college readiness
• Increase work/career awareness and preparation
• Increase physical health and safety
• Increase interpersonal/social connections and well-being
• Increase civic and community engagement

AISD Afterschool provides after-school programs to more than 7,000 students attending 58 schools, including five high schools, 11 middle schools and 42 elementary schools. AISD Afterschool collaborates with 41 youth-service organizations to provide high-quality after-school programs that are aligned with national and state best practices.
