The Women’s Studies Program at Garza high school is proud to announce the inauguration of their Women’s Studies Speaker Series, “Speaking Truth to Power”. The multi-credit class empowers young women with the study of the contributions American women have made to the history and culture of this country so that they too will take a leadership role in their own lives and communities. 

Known for her legal work and her government service both at the state and national level and serving as a founding member of the Foundation for Women's Resources, as well as the Weddington Center, Dr. Sarah Weddington is the first speaker in this year's Speaker Series.
