American-Indian Heritage Month

Date
Tuesday, November 1, 2011

November is American-Indian Heritage Month and AISD is proud to recognize the rich tradition, heritage and culture of our American-Indian students and their families. Part of our tapestry of cultures, American-Indian Heritage has long provided balance, vision, spirituality and honor to that fabric. We treasure these gifts in our schools, homes and community.

On November 5, 2011 Austin celebrates American-Indian Heritage at the 20th annual Austin Powwow and American Indian Heritage Festival - the largest one-day powwow in the nation. This is a free public event. Come share, honor, and learn about American-Indian Cultures with us at Toney Burger Center, 3200 Jones Road, from 10 a.m. -10 p.m. or more information, please call the Austin Powwow Hotline at 512-371-0628.
