Elliot Ma loves to code, and he wants to spread that love to his fellow students.
“I started coding when I was in Kindergarten,” he said. “I just did it and kind of fell in love with it.”
Ma, a fourth grade Bear Creek Elementary student, started a YouTube channel showing students how to code.
“I just sometimes teach other students what coding is and they realize it’s not as hard as they think,” he said.
His mother encouraged him to enter his YouTube videos to the Class Intercom 2022 Content Generation Award, and he is now a finalist.
“He was so shocked (being a finalist), because a lot of the students in the competition are high schoolers” she said.
The voting for the finalists ends Friday. You can find out more about Elliot’s project and vote for him at the Class Intercom website.
