With the first week of school about to close, Austin ISD is reaching out to families to remind them about keeping students home who are showing symptoms, among other health protocols.

What you need to know: If your child is showing symptoms such as coughing, fever, or shortness of breath, please keep them home and get a COVID-19 test.

Yes, but: Vaccinated students do not need to quarantine after being exposed to someone with COVID-19. Getting students vaccinated is one of the best ways to ensure they have a normal school year.
