It’s never been this exciting to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form before! 

Austin ISD, in partnership with the Austin Chamber of Commerce, invites our high school seniors to participate in the 2020-21 FAFSA Social Media Contest. The goal is to encourage FAFSA submissions and help students qualify for college scholarships.

High school seniors who participate will have an opportunity to win a $2,500 scholarship from the Austin Chamber of Commerce.

To win, the student must be from a high school campus that has met the goal of 70% FAFSA submission. The student must then create a promotional video (30 seconds to a minute) encouraging fellow seniors to file their FAFSA. They then must fill out the contest entry form and link their video to enroll in the contest. Students following these guidelines will be entered in a raffle along with other eligible students from their respective campuses. Three randomized scholarship winners will be chosen from three campus categories.  

All participants must abide by contest rules and ensure they follow their campus social media guidelines. Selected winners must provide verification of college enrollment to Austin Chamber staff. 

Students must follow these steps for a chance to be selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship. The due date for submissions is Friday May 21 at 5 p.m. The winners will be selected on May 28th and will be publicly announced on Saturday, June 5th.
