Austin ISD staff have never been so happy to have a sore arm. This week AISD partnered with vaccine distributors and community partners to provide thousands of COVID-19 vaccines to staff across the district.

Staff were notified of two opportunities to receive the vaccine: one at Circuit of the Americas via CommUnityCare and another at AISD Central Office via Code 4 Emergency Services.

The opportunities were open to all staff. Austin ISD is not a vaccine provider, but does work with providers to alert staff to potential opportunities.

Jonathan Alba is the Chief Operations Officer at Code 4 Emergency Services. He said that this opportunity to serve the community could not be missed. 

“We feel honored to be in a position to continuously serve our local community,” Alba said. “We are grateful that we can now focus on getting teachers and students back into the classroom safely. It is a true honor to deliver this well deserved shot in the arm.”
