Dear Team AISD,
I am writing to share with you information about how Austin ISD’s education foundation, the Austin Ed Fund, is supporting our students, staff and families and how you can help.
- The Austin Ed Fund continues to support the caregiver meal program with meals prepared by local restaurants. Over 1 million meals have been distributed to date, and last Monday’s meal distribution saw over 15,000 meals distributed to caregivers alone.
- Austin Ed Fund is also providing financial assistance to our families and staff. This includes providing funds for staff impacted by the winter storms through the AISD Winter Storm Assistance Fund.
- Through its Special Grants Program, the Austin Ed Fund is accepting applications through April 2 for teacher projects that support our students and families.
We know this year has been challenging for our AISD family. If you are in a position to help, please donate to Austin Ed Fund today as part of the Amplify Austin Campaign. This is a great opportunity to double your contribution - gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 by a generous donor.
Amplify Austin, Central Texas’ community-wide day of giving, will take place from Thursday, March 4 at 6 p.m. through Friday, March 5 at 6 p.m.. You can give now and help spread the word on social media by following and re-posting on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
