Are you interested in becoming a board member of the Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD)?

An Austin ISD appointment and a joint Austin ISD/City of Austin appointment are now open. You may apply for one or both of these appointments.

To be considered, you must fill out the AISD Standard Membership Application Form in its entirety by September 28, 2018.

The Travis Central Appraisal District is responsible for determining the value of all real and business personal property within Travis County, Texas.

The TCAD Board of Directors normally meet on the first Monday of each month at 11:30 a.m. unless a different date/time is designated by the Board.
Meetings are held at TCAD offices, 8314 Cross Park Drive, Austin, 78754.

Functions of the Board include:
• hiring the Chief Appraiser,
• approving the TCAD budget,
• approving contracts,
• setting general policies,
• and appointing the Chairman and Secretary of the Appraisal Review Board (ARB).

The Board does not appraise property or review property values, and the Board does not appoint members to the ARB.
