Crockett Early College High School honored 315 seniors at their graduation ceremony this afternoon at the Frank Erwin Center.
The Class of 2018 recorded several noteworthy accomplishments:
- Ariel Garcia Jr. logged more than 1,058,000 minutes of instruction by having never missed a day of school.
- Aaron Pierron and Isaac Carroll’s student start-up, “Spether,” won them $5,000 in funding.
- Aaron Vargas placed in Robotics and Intelligent Machines at the Austin Regional Science Fair.
- Emily McClanahan’s films have had positive effects at Crockett. Her latest film, “Dreamers,” was screened at the AVID cording ceremony.
Valedictorian Lily Davisson talked about the atmosphere of acceptance at Crockett.
“Always remember the acceptance you experienced at Crockett,” she said. “And work to make the world a more tolerant place.”
