Dear Austin Community:

With the passage of the Austin ISD bond, we are ready to create the reinvention projects that will provide 21st-century learning spaces for our students. 

In the first phase of this bond, we will build 16 new or fully modernized schools to address critical facility and overcrowding needs throughout the district. Some of the work has already begun.

We have met with administration at our campuses, and our contracts and procurement team has started the process of finding construction partners and architects who will work with each school community.

Next steps will include the creation of planning and design teams, made up of community members, parents and staff at each school. These teams will be integral as we collaborate to develop preliminary designs and move forward.

This is hard work, and it’s heart work. Thank you for investing in the future of Austin and Austin ISD, and most importantly, thank you for investing in our students’ futures. We love Austin today, but we’re going to love it even more tomorrow thanks to your support.
