Crockett High School today honored more than 300 members of its senior class who received their diplomas in a ceremony at the Frank Erwin Center.

Valedictorian Alma Romero said, "I believe success should be measured by our own standards. We can't succeed if we don't try."

The school celebrated several accomplishments this year, including: 

• Both boys and girls basketball teams advanced to the playoffs.
• Nine seniors earned their cosmetology licenses.
• Seven of the school’s visual arts students earned superior ratings at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event.
