The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders today celebrated 47 seniors who received their high school diplomas today, the fifth graduating class for the school.
The graduation rate of 100 percent is a testament to the students' hard work and dedication to excellence, said Principal Jeanne Goka.
Salutatorian Cypress LeFebre addressed the school's educators.
"Because of you, we have become better students, thinkers and leaders," she said. "We have worked so hard. Class of 2017, we are ready to take on the world."
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the school, which recorded a number of firsts.
- The school’s soccer team advanced to the bi-district playoffs.
- Its color guard was named champion in the novice division.
- The school also finished first in the University Interscholastic League’s competition in animation.
Congratulations to the Ann Richards Class of 2017! We’re #AISDProud of our #AISDGrads!
