After months of independent analysis and community collaboration, the Facilities and Bond Planning Advisory Committee is nearing completion of the recommended Facility Master Plan.
This week, community members on the trustee-appointed FABPAC are making final revisions to the document, which will guide the district's decision-making regarding facilities and bond planning for the next 20–30 years.
The recommended FMP will be available online March 24 at austinisd.org/fmp.
During four series of community meetings, AISD met with hundreds of parents, family members, staff, students and community leaders, collecting extensive feedback on the facility assessments and FABPAC recommendations.
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees discussed the FMP on March 6. You can watch the meeting at AISD.TV.
The board will hold a public hearing on the FMP during its regular meeting March 27. Additionally, the board will discuss the FMP at its April 3 special board meeting and may opt to consider formal adoption at that time.
The public can sign up to speak at board meetings after 1 p.m. on the preceding Friday (in person or by calling 512-414-4411) if spots are still available.
Austin ISD encourages everyone to stay involved as we work together to envision our #AISDFuture.
