Austin ISD is joining school districts throughout the country to celebrate National School Choice Week.
Austin ISD: That's a great choice
With 130 schools, AISD has a breadth of educational choices offered nowhere else in Central Texas, with unique and innovative programming supporting 83,000 students.
Early College High School, dual language, Pre–K and fine arts are just a few of those choices.
ECHS students can earn an associate degree for free. Dual-language classes are offered in Chinese, Spanish and Vietnamese. Pre–K is available at nearly 70 campuses. Fine arts boasts award-winning band, choir, orchestra, theatre and visual arts programs.
Making the Grade
Choices aren't the only thing AISD has to offer. Students’ SAT and ACT scores exceed state and national averages, AISD high schools consistently rank among the top in the nation and our students continue to outperform their peers on the Nation’s Report Card.
These successes are due in part to giving students choice. By supporting different learning styles, interests and needs, the varied choices at AISD engage students in their education and help them thrive.
