The bell schedule for all Austin ISD students will change this fall because of a new state law measuring the school day in minutes instead of days.
To comply with this new law, AISD must extend the elementary school day.
Because of the size of our district and our transportation system, this change may affect schedules for our middle school and high school students. This may also affect how we make up bad weather days.

El horario para todos los estudiantes del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Austin va a modificarse en el otoño a partir de la entrada en vigor de una nueva ley estatal que mide la jornada escolar en minutos en lugar de días.
Para dar cumplimiento a esta nueva ley, el AISD debe ampliar la jornada escolar en las escuelas primarias.
