Community members are invited to attend a kickoff celebration for Austin ISD's new partnership with Marathon Kids and Nike. 

Through the collaboration, AISD elementary school teachers will use the Marathon Kids research-based curriculum during daily Working Out for Wellness time.

During the course of the year, students will be encouraged to run or walk the equivalent of four marathons in 10-minute daily increments. For each marathon completed, students receive Nike rewards. 

The kickoff event will include a short jog around the school campus, so dress comfortably and bring your running shoes!
