On Oct. 27, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Kristen Hilsabeck, PHR, as director of recruiting and staffing.

Hilsabeck has a 13-year history with the district, having served as human resources technician/certification analyst, staffing specialist, substitute services coordinator and professional human resources coordinator in charge of high schools. 

She received her bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in secondary education from Texas State University. 

Hilsabeck's appointment is effective immediately.
