The Department of English Language Learners presents Sonia Nazario, author of Enrique's Journey, for two nights. The presentations will bring awareness of culturally relevant literary resources to the Austin ISD community, and bring attention to a sensitive and timely topic that is affecting the entire country.
Presentations will be from 6:30–8 p.m. at the Travis High School Auditorium, 1211 E. Oltorf St.
The first event will be in English for the community on Thursday, Sept. 18. The second presentation will be in Spanish and will be for parents and students on Friday, Sept. 19.
Refreshments, child care and Spanish interpretation will be provided for both events. Door prizes, too!
