More than 300 seniors crossed the stage today to graduate as the Crockett High School class of 2014.
Interim Superintendent Paul Cruz recognized the dedication, hard work and love of Principal Craig Shapiro, who was named the 2014 Principal of the Year at AISD's Salute event last month.
Cruz also highlighted some of the achievements of this year's grads—100 percent of seniors applied for college this year, and the graduation rate has risen again, now standing at 85 percent.
Extracurricular achivements include: Undefeated in district for three years in a row, the Crockett softball team finished the season as the district champion, as did the wrestling team.
For the second year in a row, Crockett’s UIL Academic Team was the district champion.
Congratulations to all the Crockett Cougars in the Class of 2014!
