Nearly 100 seniors graduated today from Garza Independence High School, with 98 percent having been accepted to either a two- or four-year university.
Garza's online program serves more than 200 students throughout the district, helping students from other campuses earn more than 200 semester credits.
This year, the Garza Academic Society worked with five Austin-area nonprofits to contribute more than $4,000 in donations and more than 200 hours of community service.
The school's chess team placed in the top 10 of all high school teams at the state tournament, and the newly founded robotics team advanced to the quarterfinals in regional competition.
Congratulations to all the Garza Griffins in the Class of 2014!
