Dear Austin ISD Community:

Our work to find a search firm to assist the district in finding a permanent superintendent is moving forward.

After reviewing proposals from four executive search/recruitment services firms, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees narrowed the list of companies to two.

We heard presentations from those two firms at a special meeting May 17, and we are scheduled to approve an agreement with one of those firms at a special meeting May 28.

On June 9, the board and the search firm will begin to discuss the timeline and process for how we find a new, permanent leader for AISD.
